Photo taking - Preliminary task

For our preliminary task we took the concept of having two prisoners held hostage, therefore to keep the storyline we thought we might need some evidence to use in our video. So we had a "photoshoot" of Jay and myself being hostages.

We wanted to achieve a look that made it seem as if we were trapped in a small space and it was dangerous. However we didn't allow ourselves much time, so we had to take the photos in college and only had a few resources to make ourselves look
as if we were being held hostage.

If we had given ourselves more time, I think that the photo's would have been a lot more effective and we could have made them more authentic and realistic. We would have chosen a better location and used more make-up and props for the photo's to be more effective.

After looking at the photos that we had taken, I had decided that they didn't look as if we had been beaten up or held hostage much at all. So I used a website called picknik.com to edit and manipulate the photos and make them look as if we actually were injured, that was they would look for effective for the final video.

Overall the photo looked quite effective, however I know that if we had put in more time the images could have looked a lot better than they did. These images will be used as part of our video when we come to filming the final edit of our preliminary task.
