Evaluation of Rough Draft

After looking at all our footage and our very rough edit, we came to the conclusion that the footage wasn’t too great and there was not much else that could be done with it. Another thought was that maybe we could change just a few scenes and redo them to make the quality better. However this would be an issue, as I am silly and dyed my hair therefore the continuity wouldn’t work, my hair would change from red to black in the opening scene.

After a lot of talking on the subject we have come to the decision that it would be best for us to re-film everything and start from scratch instead of just trying to amend the old footage; especially as it could still end up no good and have no time left to sort it before the deadline.

I think that the story line we gave ourselves before was too complex and by simplifying the story we could then put more effort into the editing so it’s simple but still very effective as a thriller. We plan to start a new story board and begin building up a new story to film as soon as possible so we can get straight to editing the new and improved footage.
